Parenting Book Club at Make A Circle
A warm discussion group for parents who want encouragement, wisdom, faith, and community.
We will read Paul David Tripp's Parenting: 14 Gospel Principles That Can Radically Change Your Family together, using a companion discussion guide by Andrew Yoon Joo Lee.
A quick note about the book
This book is written from a Christian perspective. At the same time, anyone with an open mind is warmly welcome to join.
Make A Circle welcomes people of all backgrounds, with or without religious faith. This is not a members-only or Christians-only space — we want this to feel thoughtful, respectful, and welcoming to diverse neighbors.

Duration
15 Tuesdays, May 12-August 18
Location
Make A Circle, Gwanggyo
For
Parents in Gwanggyo, Suwon, and nearby
Not a class for perfect parents.
Parenting can be beautiful, meaningful, exhausting, and overwhelming all at the same time. This group is a place to step out of the pressure, reflect honestly, and receive encouragement for the ordinary work of raising children.
Together we will talk about grace, authority, identity, control, rest, mercy, and the heart work God does in parents as much as in children.
Language notes
The group will be led mainly in English, but Korean is welcome too. Perfect English is not required, and we can naturally mix English and Korean when helpful.
Encouragement
Receive practical and spiritual help for the daily work of parenting.
Honest reflection
Think about your habits, fears, hopes, and heart as a parent.
Community
Build meaningful relationships with other parents in the area.
Prayer
Pray for one another and for our children with humility and hope.
What happens each Tuesday
Each 90-minute gathering is discussion-based and human. We will use Andrew's discussion guide to move from the chapter into real parenting, real faith, and real prayer.
Welcome and check-in
Casual arrival and a simple personal check-in.
Opening prayer
A short prayer for peace, wisdom, openness, and encouragement.

Previous book club: Celebration of Discipline

Our previous 12-week book club read Richard Foster's Celebration of Discipline, focusing on spiritual formation, classic disciplines, mutual encouragement, and prayer.
That group met on Tuesdays from 2:00-3:30 PM and helped shape the warm discussion format we are carrying into the Parenting book club.
