Life in Korea: Sharing Our Journeys Together

Our Stories, Our Community

Community strengthens when stories are allowed to stay unsimplified.

On an autumn day, we gathered to hear how people actually live in Korea—the stress, the humor, the ordinary daily lessons.

Opening lens: lived experience

We began with interview clips from international members, then invited discussion.

The videos made one thing clear: many of our challenges overlap, even when the details differ.

  • practical frustrations,
  • hidden loneliness,
  • moments of joy from unexpected discoveries.

Guided support and group dialogue

A cross-cultural transition coach offered practical frameworks for adjusting without losing identity.

In small groups, stories moved from abstract to personal:

  • What does routine feel like in a new country?
  • Which habits are hardest to rebuild?
  • What support structures actually help?

Tangible outcomes

Participants built visual resources together—tips, reminders, and practical references for daily living.

The event ended with a group photo and flags from many countries, a symbol of our growing local-global identity.

For Make A Circle, this was not just conversation. It was intentional community practice: hearing, integrating, and standing with one another.
