Farewell Party for Brian

Some gatherings are joyful and bittersweet at the same time.

In late August 2025, our community came together for a farewell potluck to celebrate Brian before his move on to a new season in Kazakhstan.

A table full of care

Instead of a regular meetup, we shared a meal that reflected the friendships Brian built over time at Make A Circle and GGN.

Everyone brought food, sat together, and let the afternoon unfold naturally through stories, laughter, and familiar faces reconnecting.

Looking back with gratitude

The heart of the gathering was simple:

• remembering the moments Brian shared with the community,
• catching up with old and new friends,
• and honoring the role he played in making people feel welcome.

It was a well-prepared event, but what mattered most was the warmth in the room.

Sending him off well

Farewells can be difficult, but they are also a chance to say clearly what someone has meant to a community.

We were grateful for the time Brian spent with us in Gwanggyo, and we send him off with sincere encouragement for the road ahead.

Brian, thank you for being part of this circle. We hope your next chapter is full of good work, good people, and plenty of reasons to come visit Suwon again.
