An Autumn Day of Arrows and Art
Our September outing combined physical challenge, playful movement, and cultural discovery.
Morning: archery at Yeonmudae
For many, holding a bow was a first-time challenge.
The key was simple: supportive coaching, patient repetition, and clear encouragement.
As early shots improved, people realized they were capable of more than they expected.
Midday: kite time
Kites changed the mood instantly. The field offered open space, wind, and easy conversation.
Food, rest, and storytelling kept the energy balanced.
Afternoon: public art and media
We moved into Jidong Mural Village to see how the neighborhood transformed itself through art.
That walk into visual creativity became a bridge to a media-art show that contrasted beautifully with our traditional start to the day.
Outcome
The day’s arc—from archery discipline to creative expression—mirrored the community spirit itself: rooted in tradition, open to experimentation, and always moving forward together.
